PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of avoiding rubbing contact of a peripheral end part of a fixing roller with a support frame surface temporarily holding a fixing belt unit due to the peripheral end part being collapsed and deformed by elasticity of an elastic material layer 33b to swell out toward the lateral side at a fixing nip part.SOLUTION: Even if a peripheral end part of a fixing roller 33 is collapsed and deformed by elasticity of an elastic material layer 33b at a fixing nip part NP of a fixing belt unit 30, a lateral swollen part 33c of the fixing roller 33 is accepted by an open window part 39 of a support frame 37 that temporarily holds the fixing belt unit 30, and thereby rubbing contact between both can be avoided. |
