PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of distilling a cis-3-hexenal from a mixture including the cis-3-hexenal, a trans-2-hexenal and a cis-2-hexenal for preventing change to a high boiling point compound due to progress of isomerization, polymerization and the like and obtaining a high purity cis-3-hexenal in high yield.SOLUTION: In a method of distilling a cis-3-hexenal: a solvent with a boiling point of 170-400°C under the standard atmospheric pressure is added to a mixture including the cis-3-hexenal, a trans-2-hexenal and a cis-2-hexenal; and distillation is carried out. |
