PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus capable of properly selecting a focus detection method.SOLUTION: An optical apparatus includes: an imaging surface phase difference focus detecting portion 208 for performing focus detection by imaging surface phase difference AF by using focus detection pixels of an imaging element 201; a TV-AF focus detecting portion 209 for performing the focus detection of a contrast method; and a camera control circuit 205 performing AF by using the imaging surface phase difference focus detecting portion, when the accuracy of the imaging surface phase difference AF is a first value or more, and the image magnification change amount of wobbling of the TV-AF is a second value or more. |
