PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device for stacking discharged paper falling on a paper discharge table, while enabling stable fall of the first print and excellent alignment of the discharged paper.SOLUTION: A moving member 6 is freely moved up and down by a moving mechanism 8 above a paper discharge table 2. Before a first print P1 is discharged, the moving member is moved down at a start timing corresponding to the discharge speed of a sheet and at a lowering speed corresponding to the falling speed of the sheet. The same air current W as an air current generated when the sheet falls in a normal state is generated from the first sheet. The first print can be discharged in the same way as the second and subsequent sheets which are normally discharged, thereby preventing deterioration in discharged paper alignment at the start of printing and preventing paper folding etc., due to projection of a sheet or overlap of sheets. |
