PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting instrument such that a light source does not illuminate while a light source device is not fitted completely.SOLUTION: A light source device 2 includes a light source 20 which illuminates with electric power supplied through a power supply connector 7 and a power reception connector 23 which are connected to each other, and is supported by a socket provided separately from the connectors 7, 23. Further, the light source device 2 includes a power supply switch 24 which makes electric connection between the light source 20 and power reception connector 23 only in a period in which predetermined operation force is received, and breaks the electric connection between the light source 20 and power reception connector 23 when the operation force is removed. The socket holding the light source device 2 is provided with an operation part which turns on the power supply switch 24 only when the light source device 2 is connected completely. Namely, the light source 20 never illuminates with the power supply switch 24 OFF while the light source device 2 is not fitted completely. |
