PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique presenting a clue for reminding an identical person who has set a password, of the password and preventing leakage of the password to a third party.SOLUTION: The information processing device in one aspect includes: a generation unit that generates a hint character string to be a clue for reminding of a password for use in user authentication for an access to an account by randomly converting characters included in the password, while retaining partial information included in the password; an authentication unit that executes the user authentication by collating the character string of the password associated with the account with the input character string; and an output unit that, when the user authentication is failed, outputs the hint character string generated for the password associated with the account. |
