PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance object recognition accuracy using parallax information in an object recognition method based on pattern matching.SOLUTION: An object recognition device 1 includes a stereo camera 17, and a processing device 20 that processes images acquired by the stereo camera. The processing device calculates parallax from the images acquired by the stereo camera, and determines the reliability of an object recognized by pattern matching on the basis of a relation between parallax distribution in a pixel area of the object recognized by pattern matching and parallax distribution in a peripheral pixel area of the pixel area of the object.
