PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording of an image to a recording medium on which a position detection mark is not recorded in the same style with a case where the position detection mark is recorded.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a recording control section 50 which manages a positional relationship between a virtual position detection mark and a reference position based on the interval of the virtual position detection marks and a conveyance amount of unreeled roll paper 10 after one of the virtual position detection marks is positioned in the prescribed reference position in a conveyance path, supposing that the virtual position detection marks are recorded on the unreeled roll paper with the fixed interval along a conveyance direction during recording to the roll paper and conveyance of the unreeled roll paper, and controls conveyance of the recording medium by a conveyance mechanism 39 and recording on the unreeled roll paper 10 by a recording head 12 based on the positional relationship. |
