PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasticizing apparatus which satisfyingly removes gas and moisture from a molten material in a heating cylinder, and prevents a substance liquidized with gas from adhering to the portion in the vicinity of the material supply port of the heating cylinder or the portion backward of the material supply port of the heating cylinder as much as possible, and a plasticizing method.SOLUTION: A plasticizing apparatus 11 for plasticizing a molding material M in a heating cylinder arranged with a screw 18 to discharge the resulting material from the front of the heating cylinder 14 includes: negative pressure generation means 42 for making the inside of the heating cylinder negative pressure via a heating cylinder rear 14b excluding a heating cylinder rear end 31 or a material supply port 19; and gas supply means 36 for supplying gas with a controlled supply quantity via the heating cylinder rear end 31 or the heating cylinder rear 14b. |
