PURPOSE: A butterfly valve capable of externally controlling the position of a sealing unit is provided to support the sealing unit with a controlling unit penetrating a body, thereby controlling a pressurization degree on the sealing unit through the external manipulation of a user. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly valve includes a body (100), a disc unit, a sealing unit (300), an elastic unit (400), and a controlling unit (500). The body has an inner space of which both ends are opened. The rotatable disc unit in the inner space rotates in order to selectively open and close the inner space. The sealing unit between the outer circumferential surface of the disc unit and the inner circumferential surface of the body seals a gap between the disc unit and the body. The elastic unit applies an elastic force on the sealing unit. The controlling unit penetrates the body in order to control the position of the sealing unit from outside the body, supports the sealing unit against the elastic force, and is movably mounted on the body. |
