PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk-based storage device for performing head position control in accordance with detected intertrack interference.SOLUTION: A disk-based storage device includes a storage disk 100, a reading/writing head 130 configured so as to read data from the storage disk and write data in the storage disk, and a control circuit network configured so as to control the positioning of the reading/writing head. The control circuit network includes an intertrack interference detector 320 configured so as to process a signal read from at least a prescribed track of the storage disk by the reading/writing head so as to detect interference from at least one other track of the storage device in the signal. The control circuit network further includes an intertrack interference-based head position controller 315 configured so as to adjust the positioning of the reading/writing head in accordance with the detected interference. |
