PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a conventional vehicle headlamp, there is a case that light from a semiconductor light-emitting element is not fully utilized, and light distribution designing is complicated in forming a predetermined light distribution pattern.SOLUTION: A vehicle headlamp is provided with a low-beam lamp unit 2, a high-beam lamp unit 3, and a shoulder edge beam lamp unit 4. The lamp units 2, 3, 4 are each configured of a semiconductor type light source 20 and a reflector 23 with reflecting faces 21, 22 for irradiating light from the semiconductor type light source 20 toward a front of a vehicle C as a predetermined light distribution pattern. As a result, headlamp can fully utilize light from the semiconductor type light source 20, and further, light distribution designing in forming a predetermined light distribution pattern is easy.
