PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing with stable quality even when wettability of media varies largely.SOLUTION: A printing control device for controlling a printing device includes: a pretreatment unit performing pretreatment for improving wettability of the surface of a medium; and a head unit discharging ink to the surface of the medium to form an image. The printing control device prints a test pattern on the medium by discharging the ink from the head unit, makes an image reading device read an image of the test pattern, calculates raggedness of a boundary line of the image of the test pattern, and adjusts the pretreatment to be performed by the pretreatment unit in accordance with the raggedness. |
