PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing acrolein for allowing simplification of equipment for an acrolein refinement process in a process of applying supercritical water to synthesize acrolein from glycerine, and reduction in energy necessary for the refinement.SOLUTION: In a method of producing acrolein: supercritical water and sulfuric acid are reacted with glycerine and an obtained reaction liquid is supplied to a first distilling column after being cooled and decompressed; sulfuric acid, glycerine and water, which are high boiling point components, are collected in the column bottom of the first distilling column while acrolein, acetaldehyde and formaldehyde, which are low boiling point components, are collected in the column top and condensed; a liquid condensate is supplied to a second distilling column; and acetaldehyde and formaldehyde, which are low boiling point components, are collected in the tower top of the second distilling column while acrolein, which is a high boiling point component, is collected in the tower bottom. |
