PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an image forming apparatus having a document data reception function and a document box function.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 has a function for receiving document data over networks 30 and 40, a function for storing document data in a document box 141, and a function for printing the document data in a print unit 16. A use frequency measurement unit 19 specifies a power interruption period for interrupting power supply of the image forming apparatus 10 based on the use frequency thus measured. A control unit 11 functions as a document data processing means, and prints and erases the document data stored in the document box 141 immediately before the power interruption period or upon arrival thereat. Upon arrival at the power interruption period, a power supply management unit 20 disconnects power of the image forming apparatus 10 on condition that the document data is not stored in the document box 141. |
