PURPOSE: A matching system for an on-line data service and a method thereof are provided to solve the inefficiency of a display-search method and mediates a plurality of users regardless of time and places. The matching system for an on-line data service and the method thereof improve a matching rate and set a rule for priority order about matching to mediate members and the rule for the priority order of the users eliminated from matching processes. CONSTITUTION: Personal information of a member is input by a client and is stored in database (S10). A list of an opponent member recommended to each member by the client is input and is stored in the database as a recommendation list of the opponent member (20). A package matching system adds a matching pair of the opponent member selected with the member to a matching pool by selecting one opponent member among the recommendation list of the opponent member based on a priority order rule for opponent selection (S30). The package matching system successively extracts the matching pair including the highest priority order among a plurality of the matching pairs included in the matching pool extracts the members included in the matching pair without overlapping (S40). The matching pair is re-extracted by re-comprising the matching pool with eliminated from the matching pool, and the number of repetitive extraction is limited in the predetermined number.
