PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a controller of an AC rotary machine performing stabilized DC current control for all motor speed range, by preventing sudden change in the AC rotary machine voltage limit value due to rotational speed change of the AC rotary machine, and to obtain an electric power steering device including the controller.SOLUTION: The controller of an AC rotary machine includes a power converter 2 converting a DC voltage into an AC voltage based on a voltage command value of an AC rotary machine 1 and applying the AC voltage to the AC rotary machine 1, a DC current acquisition means 9 for acquiring the current of the power converter 2 on the DC side, and a voltage limit value calculation means 3 for calculating the AC rotary machine voltage limit value based on the DC current obtained from the DC current acquisition means 9. The power converter 2 applies an AC voltage to the AC rotary machine 1 depending on the AC rotary machine voltage limit value. |
