PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide calcium-containing food allowing taken-in calcium to be effectively absorbed.SOLUTION: Calcium-containing food contains 100 pts.wt. of Momordica charantia var. pavel powder obtained by drying and powdering Momordica charantia var. pavel, and 0.05 pt.wt. or more and 33.4 pts.wt. or less of calcium. The function of the gastrointestinal tract (particularly the small intestine) is activated by components of Momordica charantia var. Pavel that contains much momordicin, charantin and corosolic acid that have an effect of activating the function of the gastrointestinal tract, and calcium contained in the calcium-containing food can be efficiently absorbed. |
