PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven bending endoscope capable of informing an operator that a maintenance time has come by detecting the conditions of deterioration due to abrasion of constituents used for electrically bending a bending section so that a bending reaction of the bending section can be kept constant in accordance with the sense of obtained by the operator in operating an operation element.SOLUTION: A motor-driven bending endoscope 1 has: a pulling member 8 for bending a bending section of an inserting section 2; an operation member 5 for inputting force magnitude required to pull the pulling member 8; a drive section 12 for generating a drive force to bend the bending section by pulling the pulling member 8; a pulling member operation device 10 capable of being switched from a state where the drive force is not transmitted to the pulling member 8 to a state where the drive force is transmitted to the pulling member 8, interlockingly with the operation of the operation member 5; drive force transmitting means 9, 11 for transmitting the drive force of the drive section 12 to the pulling member 8; and a determining means for detecting the deterioration due to abrasion of the drive force transmitting means 9, 11 and determining a replacement time thereof. |
