PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry belt type continuously variable transmission that prevents a reduction in frictional force when oil leaking from a hydraulic chamber adheres to a belt.SOLUTION: A dry belt type continuously variable transmission 5 includes a hydraulic chamber 100 provided opposite a surface 12a facing a fixed sheave 11 of a movable sheave 12 of a pulley 10 with a dry belt 31 wound thereon, and pressing the movable sheave 12 toward the fixed sheave 11. The hydraulic chamber 100 is provided radially outside a fitted portion A between the movable sheave 12 and a rotating shaft 4. An atmosphere open space part 200 sealed from the hydraulic chamber 100 by a sealing material 51 is provided radially outside the fitted portion and radially inside the hydraulic chamber 100. A communication part for connecting the atmosphere open space 200 to a drain part isolated from the fitted portion is extended radially outside from the atmosphere open space part 200. |
