PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a switch device which can be used to automatically activate power supply of an electronic device by bringing terminals into conduction from a non-conductive state through reduction of ambient pressure; an electronic device using the switch device; a position information transmission apparatus using the switch device which is capable of automatically transmitting position information after power supply activation; and a position detection system using the position information transmission apparatus.SOLUTION: A switch device 1 comprises: a first electrode 10; a second electrode 20 which is movable; an elastic member 30 in which gas is sealed; and a container 50 which is provided with a fluid introduction hole 52 and houses the elastic member 30. The expansion of the elastic member 30 causes the second electrode 20 to move toward the first electrode, and the second electrode 20 is brought into contact with the first electrode 10 when the expansion amount of the elastic member 30 exceeds a predetermined amount.
