PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead member for use in a nonaqueous electrolyte battery, or the like, in which the surface at the edge of a copper conductor of the lead member is covered with a nickel metal.SOLUTION: In the lead member where an insulation film 15 is pasted to a flat conductor 14, i.e., a clad plate obtained by pasting a nickel foil plate to both sides of a copper foil plate, excepting the end in the longitudinal direction thereof, surface at the edge of a copper conductor 12 of the flat conductor 14 in the width direction is covered with an elongated part 13a of a nickel metal 13 at a divided part. The flat conductor 14 has a thickness of 0.05-0.5 mm, and the thickness of the nickel metal 13 is 25% or less that of the flat conductor. |
