PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink holding body, which is used for an ink cartridge for an inkjet type printer and has superior ink absorbing performance.SOLUTION: An ink holding body is made by thermally compressing soft polyurethane foam obtained by reaction between a polyol and polyisocyanate in the presence of a foaming agent, a catalyst, and a foam stabilizer, wherein the polyol consists of a plurality of polyether polyols, and 100 parts by weight of all the polyols, in which ethylene oxide content is 80% or more, contain 5-30 parts by weight of polyether polyols having molecular weight of 2,000-4,000, an isocyanate index is 75-95, and the density (based upon JIS K 7222) of the soft polyurethane foam after thermal compression is 50-300 kg/m. |
