PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator capable of vastly setting the cross section of a coil to carry a large current and prevent a partial discharge, enhancing a space factor and improving performance of a motor.SOLUTION: A stator 2 comprises: an annular core 3 including a slot 4 formed in the inner peripheral portion thereof; and segment coils 1 mounted in the slot. Each of the segment coils is constituted such that: coil end parts 1a and 1c extended from the slot are formed in a substantially chevron shape having an apex in the central part; added insulation layers 12a to 12d are formed in at least one oblique side portion 10a of the chevron shape of each segment coil provided in a radial intermediate portion of the stator; and the other oblique side portion of a segment coil provided adjacently to the segment coil contacts with the added insulation layers 12a-12d. |
