PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high grade prepreg having a low resin content and a low fiber basis weight with excellent fiber opening properties of a continuous fiber and without excessively bulging a resin, with good tacking properties and without cracking.SOLUTION: A prepreg prepared by using a carbon fiber having ≥270 GPa of tensile elasticity and 3,000-12,000 of filament number, and added with a 0.8-2.2 mass% sizing agent comprising a bisphenol A type epoxy resin as an essential component, and a thermosetting resin having 0.5-5 Pa s minimum viscosity measured by a dynamic viscoelastic method. The prepreg has 25-40 g/mcarbon fiber mass per unit area of the prepreg, 15-25% resin mass content, ≥500 mm width and release paper on at least one side surface, as well as has a predetermined monofilament cross-sectional diameter ratio of the carbon fiber, a predetermined maximum cross-sectional surface height Rt of the prepreg surface, a predetermined tucks on the prepreg surface, a predetermined peel strength between the prepreg and the release paper, and a predetermined number of cracks and a predetermined number of fluffs. |
