PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent dust from being deposited on an operation portion.SOLUTION: An air passage 2 of a dust-proof device 1 has an air discharge port 8 open to a front area of an operation portion 10. An cooling air supply portion 5 guides air of the air passage 2 to an object part 11 to be cooled. A changeover portion 3 changes the flow of the air of the air passage 2 from the air discharge port 8 to the cooling air supply portion 5 or in a reverse direction. A control portion 7 has a control function of changing the flow of air of the air passage 2 from the flow toward the air discharge port 8 to the cooling air supply portion 5 by the changeover portion 3 when an operator detection portion 6 detects the presence of an operator. Further, the control portion 7 has a control function of changing the flow of air of the air passage 2 from the flow toward the cooling air supply portion 5 to the air discharge port 8 by the changeover portion 3 and controlling the rotating speed of a fan 4 according to a previously given control procedure when the operator detection portion 6 does not detect the presence of an operator.
