PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of transferring and sorting articles, sufficiently securing a moving distance of a transfer belt, including a simple and lightweight carriage, and operating with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A device 100 of transferring and sorting articles includes a carriage 110 travelling on a transfer line 130 and delivers articles to be transferred on a transfer belt to a delivery mechanism by moving the articles to be transferred in a direction intersecting a travelling direction of the carriage at right angle by driving an endless transfer belt 112 of the carriage by moving a slider 111 provided on the carriage to receive a force from the transfer line in response to a travel of the carriage. In the device 100, the carriage 110 includes a pair of support rollers 113 supporting the transfer belt 112 given a tension by being wound therearound, a pair of pulleys 116 each being coaxially attached to the axis of the pair of support rollers 113 and having a smaller diameter (R1) relative to a diameter R2 of the support rollers, and an endless drive belt 115 wound around the pair of pulleys 116 and equipped with the slider 111. |
