PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide allocation of sub-frames for uplink and downlink transmissions in TDD-LTE.SOLUTION: According to a system and a method, the number of sub-frames within a frame to be used for an uplink transmission is determined and remaining frames are used for a downlink transmission relating to a base station (BS) in a time division duplex long term evolution (TDD-LTE). The system and method are based on the number of user equipment (UE) to which the BS has to provide services within uplink and downlink, an uplink (UL) traffic load and a downlink (DL) traffic load for each user. The system and method relate to enabling the TDD LTE BS to divide the sub-frames within the frame for the UL and DL traffic. |
