PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption before or during image acquisition.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging optical system for imaging incident light from an object; an image reversing optical system for reversing an image formed by the imaging optical system and emitting the reversed image; a display member having transparency for transmitting and displaying the image emitted from the image reversing optical system; an image picking-up device for picking up the image formed by the imaging optical system as a pick-up image; a deflection member, which can be inserted in an optical path of the imaging optical system, for deflecting light emitted through the imaging optical system to form an image on the image picking-up device when the deflection member is inserted in the optical path of the imaging optical system; and a controlling section for controlling insertion of the deflection member. |
