IMAGE DISPLAY UNIT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the adhesive force of a conductive material at a wiring connection part of an image display unit to thereby achieve stable wiring connection.SOLUTION: The image display unit comprises: a front substrate 1; a rear face substrate 2 facing the front substrate 1; an image element sandwiched between the front substrate 1 and the rear face substrate 2, and sealed with a sealing agent; an electrode terminal part 7 connected to the image element via wiring and arranged on an opposing face of the front substrate 1; and metal film wiring 5 embedded in an opening 4 penetrating the rear face substrate 2 on the electrode terminal part 7, connected to the electrode terminal part 7 and extending to a back side of the rear face substrate 2. The opening 4 to which the metal film wiring 5 is embedded is formed so that an opening size at the opposing face side of the front substrate 1 is larger than an opening size at the back side of the rear face substrate 2.
