PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerator in which power consumption falls below a set value when a cooling load in the summer season or an intermediate period is large.SOLUTION: A turbo refrigerator includes a cooling cycle which is configured by successively connecting a compressor, a condenser which condenses a refrigerant discharged from the compressor, a pressure reducing device and an evaporator which evaporates the refrigerant, and also includes a cooling water system which makes cooling water flow into the evaporator to perform heat exchange with the refrigerant to flow out. The refrigerator also includes a cooling water outlet temperature control mode which controls the cooling cycle based on a target cooling water outlet temperature, and a power consumption control mode which controls the cooling cycle so that the power consumption falls below the target power consumption. The turbo refrigerator can control the power consumption to fall within the set value. |
