PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of excellent filtration performance, very low in a change, when stored, of physical properties such as an average particle size, viscosity and sedimenting properties, and excellent in storage stability, and to provide an ink composition containing the same, and an inkjet recording method using the ink composition.SOLUTION: A pigment composition is obtained by dissolving a water-insoluble coloring material and polymerized rosin into a water-soluble organic solvent, to be brought into a solution, by adding water to the solution, to deposit a solid of the pigment composition, and by filtration-separating the solid, the amount of the polymerized rosin with respect to the water-insoluble coloring material is 2-80% on the basis of mass, when dissolved into the water-soluble organic solvent, and the problem of the invention is solved by using an aqueous dispersion containing the pigment composition, an ink composition, and an inkjet recording method. |
