摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a property of insulating frictional heat generated by making a brake block and a disk abut on each other.SOLUTION: A caliper brake device 100, which imparts a frictional force by sandwiching a disk 6 rotating together with a wheel 5, includes: a caliper body 10 which is supported by a vehicle body; a brake block 7 which can impart the frictional force by advancing/retreating with respect to the caliper body 10 and coming into sliding contact with the disk 6; a guide plate 8 which supports the brake block 7; an anchor pin 43 which makes the guide plate 8 supported by the caliper body 10 in such a manner as to advance/retreat freely; a piston 52 which advances/retreats with respect to the caliper body 10 and which can push the brake block 7 via the guide plate 8; a diaphragm 53 which abuts on a back surface 52b of the piston 52, which defines a pressure chamber 55 in the caliper body 10, and which is elastically deformed by pressure of compressed air in the pressure chamber 55 to move the piston 52; and a piston plate 58 which makes the piston 52 slidably supported by the anchor pin 43.
