PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a particle board having surface smoothness, by which size variation due to moisture absorption and desorption can be reduced and local swelling occurring upon absorbing water can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A particle board 1 is produced by subjecting a mixture of particles, plant-based fiber 4 having an average fiber length 0.4 to 3.0 times as large as an average length of particles, and an adhesive to thermocompression after passing the mixture through a mesh having openings 0.75 to 2.0 times as large as the average length of the particles. |
