PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine and a manufacturing method of the same in which conductive wire is easily inserted into a slot and the positional displacement of a slot insulation paper sheet is prevented without a cuff while inserting the conductive wire so that manufacturing costs can be decreased.SOLUTION: In a rotary electric machine and a manufacturing method of the same, where the width of a slot of a status core is W0, the width of a side face 54 in the upper end of a slot insulation paper sheet 24 before being inserted into the slot is W1, and the width of a side face 52 in the upper end is W2, W1≤W0 and W0<W2 are satisfied by forming a cross-sectional shape of the slot insulation paper sheet 24 as a tapered cylindrical cross section. |
