PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity selling system for obtaining, at a low cost, data with little bias and high reliability which can be used for conjoint analyzation.SOLUTION: A server device 11 stores a function for calculating a utility value when a user of a user group purchases a commodity in a commodity category, about each combination of the user group and the commodity category. A consumer accesses an EC site provided by the server device 11, by using terminal devices 12-1, 12-2, and 12-r, and requests detailed information on a commodity which the consumer would like to consider purchasing (a basic commodity) from the server device 11. In response to the request, the server device 11 calculates the utility value of the commodity in the same commodity category as the basic commodity according to the function, and specifies a commodity which has a high utility value and is different from the basic commodity as a proposal commodity. The server device 11 transmits detailed information on the proposal commodity to the terminal devices together with the detailed information on the basic commodity, and urges the consumer to compare the basic commodity with the proposal commodity. |
