PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for joining metal sheets maintaining appearance of a thin sheet excellent and shaping the thin sheet more easily in lap-joining two thick sheets and one thin sheet each other.SOLUTION: In (a), an electrode 13 is brought into contact with a thin section 20 of a thick sheet 10, and an electrode 14 is brought into contact with a thin sheet 12. Resistance welding is executed by energization. In (b), a contact section of the thick sheets 10, 11 melts first. The distance H2 from a molten section 23 to the electrode 13 is short, cooling of the molten section 23 is promoted by the electrode 13, and the molten section 23 grows to the thin sheet 12 side. In (c), a nugget 24 is formed in the sheets 10, 11, 12. The thick sheets 10, 11 and the thin sheet 12 can be joined each other without subjecting the thin sheet 12 of an appearance member to working, and appearance of the thin sheet 12 is maintained excellent. Also, because the thin sheet 12 is not subjected to working, formability of the thin sheet 12 is not affected, and shaping of the thin sheet 12 can be executed more easily. |
