PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission apparatus capable of cutting off a power path between a rotational drive source and a device to be driven, with desired torque.SOLUTION: A power transmission apparatus includes a power cutoff member 3 which is connected to a rotating member 2 and screwed to a rotary shaft 110 of a device 101 to be driven, transfers rotation of the rotating member 2 to the rotary shaft 110, and is broken when torque equal to or more than a predetermined value is applied thereon, thereby cutting off power to be transmitted to the rotary shaft 110. Rotating members 2, 4 include held portions 4, 23 which are held between an end face 311 of the power cutoff member 3 and an end face 115 of the rotary shaft 110, and apply a compression force acts by screwing of the power cutoff member 3. The held portions 4, 23 include the first held portion 23 abutted on the end face 311 of the power cutoff member 3 and the second held portion 4 which is abutted on the end face 115 of the rotary shaft 110, and harder than the first held portion 23. |
