PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that electrons are desorbed at a negative electrode terminal when the case of a secondary battery is charged positively and thereby the negative electrode terminal is corroded, and when the negative electrode terminal is corroded, contact resistance between the negative electrode terminal and a member coupled therewith increases to reduce the performance of the secondary battery.SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes an electrode assembly which includes a first electrode and a second electrode, a case housing the electrode assembly, a first terminal coupled electrically with the first electrode of the electrode assembly, a cap plate coupled electrically with the second electrode of the electrode assembly, and an electron-donating part coupled electrically with the first terminal. Since reactivity of the electron-donating part is larger than that of a negative electrode terminal, the negative electrode terminal can be prevented from being oxidized by the electrons supplied from the electron-donating part. |
