PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push switch used mainly in a vehicle interior capable of reducing the height while ensuring a reliable operation.SOLUTION: The push switch comprises: a movable contact 17 mounted to oscillate on a common contact 12 on the inner bottom face of a case 11; and a spring 19 having a generally U-like shape with one end thereof fixed to the bottom face of a cover 16, the other end fixed to the upper face of the movable contact 17 so as to allow an intermediate portion to elastically come into contact with the bottom face of an operation member 15. Since the movable contact 17 is disposed in a direction perpendicular to a vertical movement direction of the operation member 15, the entire height of the switch can be reduced and the thickness of the movable contact 17 can be formed largely. The push switch is capable of reliably turning ON/OFF a relatively large current of several amps. |
