摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a secular change in white balance of a small projection projector including an MEMS and a semiconductor laser light source.SOLUTION: An image display unit comprises: a plurality of light sources 6; light source driving means 4; a reflection mirror 7 for reflecting an outgoing beam from the light sources and projecting the beam to an object; mirror driving means 8 for driving the reflection mirror; image processing means 2; and a sensor 10 for measuring a light quantity of the light sources. The image display unit further comprises correction means for: calculating a threshold and a slope efficiency of light quantity current characteristics of the plurality of light sources from a first light quantity value obtained by measuring a light quantity by the sensor when an input video signal coincides with a first reference signal level, and a second light quantity value obtained by measuring a light quantity by the sensor when the input video signal coincides with a second reference signal level; storing initial values of the threshold and the slope efficiency; and correcting threshold current and light quantity ratio of the plurality of light sources so as to be equal to an initial value of the slope efficiency when the calculation results of the threshold and the slope efficiency change after the lapse of a certain period of time.
