PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger capable of improving heat exchange efficiency by accelerating a secondary flow in a flow passage cross section and using a part where a heat transfer rate is especially high for heat exchange, and to provide a heat pump type water heater using the heat exchanger.SOLUTION: A heat exchanger includes a first heat transfer part having a bent part formed by bending a heat transfer pipe, and a second heat transfer part exchanging heat with the first heat transfer part. The bent part is configured so that in directions orthogonal to each other, a flow passage width in one direction has a dimension that is equal to or larger than that of a flow passage width in another direction, and a pipe wall part of the heat transfer pipe opposed along the one direction is positioned on the outside and inside of bent part, and also, the second heat transfer part is arranged on the outside of the pipe wall part positioned on the outside. |
