PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiping material with sufficient strength durable for long time abrasion and heat-resistance as well as excellent wiping performance without the need of complicated processes such as chemical treatment.SOLUTION: A fiber sheet comprises a fiber web. The fiber web contains 50 wt.% or more of a liquid crystal polyester fiber that is opened with a carding machine. The fiber web is subjected to high pressure water jet entanglement treatment for several times while flipping upside down for each time to make a nonwoven fabric having fibrillated fibers with a diameter of 0.5 μm or less on its surface layer. The fiber sheet is obtained by providing one surface of the nonwoven fabric with an uneven structure by means of emboss treatment.
