STATE-OF-HEALTH ESTIMATION METHOD OF A BATTERY WITH RESPECT TO CAPACITY

PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for estimating the capacity of a battery are provided to enable a user to accurately confirm the exchange time of a battery in real-time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for estimating the capacity of a battery comprises a battery unit (100), a data processing unit (200), a memory unit (300), a calculation unit (400), and a control unit (500). The data processing unit collects data on the accumulated current consumption quantity and accumulated high temperature exposure time of the battery unit. The memory unit stores the accumulated current consumption quantity and accumulated high temperature exposure time of the battery therein. The calculation unit calculates the capacity estimation value of the battery unit using the accumulated current consumption quantity and accumulated high temperature exposure time of the battery. The capacity estimation value is applied to the control unit.
