PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a living body to be used for iontophoresis, etc., that can attain cost reduction and excellent pattern accuracy without trouble of peeling, etc., and also to provide a method for manufacturing the electrode for a living body.SOLUTION: An electrode 1 for a living body includes: a flexible base material 2; a first electrode 11 arranged on the flexible base material 2 and having a thickness of ≥10 nm and ≤300 nm; a second electrode 21 adjacently arranged on the same surface S of the flexible base material 2 where the first electrode 11 is arranged, having a thickness of ≥10 nm and ≤300 nm, and having a potential difference to generate electromotive force between the first electrode 11 and the second electrode; connection wires 7 extending from one or both of the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 21 and overlapped each other; and an insulation film 4 for covering the connection wires 7. In this case, it is preferable that one of the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 21 is made of noble metal and the other is of zinc or zinc oxide. It is preferable that a primer layer 3 is arranged between the flexible base material 2 and one of or both of the first electrode 11 and the second electrode 21. |
