PURPOSE: A mobile digital broadcast receiving system and a method thereof are provided to selectively output either one of an ATSC broadcast or a TDMB broadcast in consideration of the receiving sensitivity and buffer storage capacity the ATSC broadcast or the TDMB broadcast. CONSTITUTION: A first buffer(109) stores first AV(Audio/Video) data which are received from an ATSC(Advanced Television System Committee) tuner. A second buffer(110) stores second AV data which are received from a TDMB(Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) tuner. A receiving state sensing unit(111) measures a first receiving sensitivity level of the ATSC tuner and a second receiving sensitivity level of the TDMB tuner. A selection unit(112) selects either one of the first buffer or the second buffer according to a comparison result of the first and second receiving sensitivity levels. The selection unit outputs AV data stored in the selected buffer.
