PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably maintain assistance of brake operation power when an engine is automatically stopped.SOLUTION: An ECU 20 stops combustion of an engine 10 to automatically stop the engine when a predetermined automatic stop condition is satisfied, and after automatic stop of the engine 10, when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied, the ECU 20 restarts the engine 10 by drive of a starter 15. The ECU 20 determines about a brake booster 30 that booster negative pressure falls below a predetermined value after the engine 10 is stopped, and determines that elapsed time after the automatic stop of the engine 10 becomes a predetermined time. The ECU restarts the engine 10 based on earlier determination of two kinds of determination: one is that the booster negative pressure falls below the predetermined value, and the other is that the elapsed time becomes the predetermined time, after the automatic stop of the engine 10. |
