PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable transition to an imaging mode even during communication while preventing the communication from being stopped due to an erroneous operation.SOLUTION: An imaging device having imaging means for imaging a subject, includes: operation means for accepting a preparing instruction for allowing the imaging means to perform an imaging preparation operation, and an imaging instruction for allowing the imaging means to perform an imaging operation, on the basis of a user operation; communication means for communicating with an external device; and transition means for allowing transition to any mode of a plurality of modes including a communication mode for allowing the communication means to communicate with the external device, and an imaging mode for allowing the imaging means to image the subject. When it is detected that the operation means is operated in the communication mode, the imaging device shifts to a transition stand-by state, and when it is detected that the operation means is operated again after the transition to the transition stand-by state, the transition means allows the imaging device to transit to the imaging mode. |
