PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch device capable of reliably controlling a posture of an engaging piece.SOLUTION: A retainer 4 is held between an input system rotating member (outer ring 2) and an output system rotating member (inner ring 3) which are arranged coaxially so as to be relatively rotatable with each other, so that a plurality of engaging pieces 5 are retained in the retainer 4. A shaft 7 to be an oscillating center of the engaging piece 5 is extended from an axial end face of the engaging piece 5 in an axial direction, and a first gear 8 is connected coaxially with the shaft 7. The shaft 7 is oscillated by a posture control mechanism 20 through the first gear 8 to control the posture of the engaging piece 5. As a result, a state of the engagement or disengagement of the engaging piece 5 is changed. Even when an inclination angle of the engaging piece 5 is set great, the shaft 7 is oscillated through the first gear 8 to control the posture of the engaging piece 5, so that the posture of the engaging piece 5 can be reliably controlled. |
