PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical restraint capable of being used to avoid a risk of damage to a human body from a thug or the like and to surely restrain hands and feet of the thug.SOLUTION: A physical restraint includes a restraining part provided at one end of an operating rod, a slide member for opening and closing the restraining part, a lock mechanism provided at the operating rod, and a stopper mechanism. The restraining part is constituted by pivoting the inner ends of a pair of restraining arms on a fixing member fixed to the tip of a sliding member and pivoting them to supporting members at the tip of the operating rod via a lockable plate. The lock mechanism comprises a key guide inside the operating rod, a rachet key for moving vertically inside the key guide, a release pin for moving the racket key vertically, and a serrated groove created at the inner surface of the operating rod. The release pin is fixed to a sliding operation part. The stopper mechanism comprises a button pin inside the key guide, a through hole for button pin bored in the operating rod, and a release plate for pressing down the button pin. A spring is arranged between the key guide and a guide receiver in a base cylinder, and the sliding member is fixed to the key guide. |
